MUFG KOGEI Project
In August 2023, MUFG launched a new project to support the inheritance of Japanese traditional craft ("kogei") culture and techniques and to find and spread inspirations in tradition that can be applied innovatively in an era of change.
Under the theme of "Tradition and Innovation," we will conduct various activities such as the development of craft culture and industry and the holding of events and seminars to support both artisans and users.

Supporting Digital Art Projects
MUFG is participating through donations(note 1) in the digital art project "NAKED GARDEN ONE KYOTO 2025," organized by the ONE KYOTO Executive Committee, aiming to support regional revitalization and cultural promotion.
This project organizes various nighttime events that blend light art with famous Kyoto landmark such as Arashiyama Saga and Fushimi.
Through its support for this project, MUFG aims to contribute to the preservation and transmission of culture, as well as to promote dispersed tourism and address overtourism by enhancing nighttime content.
note1: 70% of the contributions from MUFG will be allocated to this project, while the remaining 30% will be used for cultural and artistic promotion initiatives conducted by Kyoto City.
