A-Rank evaluation for funding provision for Startups in Keidanren's "Startup Friendly Scoring."
The Japan Business Federation, or Keidanren, has released its "Startup Friendly Scoring" scheme aimed at changing the behavior of large companies, which make up a vital part of the startup ecosystem. Startup Friendly Scoring is a mechanism for visualizing how friendly large companies are toward startups and whether the companies fill critical roles in the startup ecosystem. It conducts evaluation based on the three criteria of providing resources to startups, taking in startup businesses and human resources, and turning out businesses and human resources into the startup ecosystem.
In this second time, MUFG was ranked seventh out of about 150 companies in the overall evaluation. It also received the highest "A-rank" in funding provision for startups. This is the second year in a row that we have received the highest grade in each category, as we also received an “A-rank” in turning out human resources last year.

HR Award 2024 by the Human Resources Division in Japan
Our company promotes DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) to empower each employee with diverse values and backgrounds to contribute to a sustainable future and advance to new stages for all stakeholders. As part of this initiative, we have developed the return-to-work support program "Palette," which helps approximately 1,750 employees who take maternity and childcare leave each year to seamlessly return to the workplace and balance work and childcare.
We will further accelerate the creation of a workplace environment where employees can continuously grow and thrive at each stage of their lives. By recognizing and appreciating each other's differences and strengths, we aim to create new value and build an organization that embodies MUFG's purpose of "Empowering a Brighter Future."
